This time next week, we will be in the air. Or various airports en route. We have a fairly vicious flight schedule that includes significant time in both Newark and Houston airports. Alas. We will be on our way.
Many have wondered what our next adventure will be. Well, I'll tell you.
We plan to arrive in Texas NEXT Thursday afternoon in time for some serious Mexican food. This adventure will be closely followed by time with my parents to cheer as wildly as jet lag allows while the Spurs win Game 7. They could could clean up faster - but they know how much we want to see at least that one game.
The big adventure will come the next morning. We get to see one of our favorite families on earth AND pick up our Reyah pup! Even Geoff had tears in his eyes today talking about how much we can't wait to see her little, pwecious, chocolaty, floppy-eared face!
One particular nephew has really got our attention - we can't wait to meet, hug, hold, and kiss him for the first time. It was really hard to miss out on being there in "real life" (Facetime can only offer so much) when he was born and we've got some making up to do.
From there we get to hang out with our siblings and will likely fall completely apart with emotion overload because we are completely unprepared for how big our nieces and nephews have grown while we've been away.
Between jet-lag and emotion overload of seeing dear family it will be adventure enough just holding ourselves together as we enjoy each priceless moment.
For adventures beyond that first weekend - we're gonna have to keep ya posted. No. Idea.
Returning to the States after selling most of our valuables (CAR!) and having spent most of our savings will require more faith and trust going forward than any of our previous moments. We don't know what city or state we'll land in though we do intend to hang around the US of A for a while. Finding a car is first on our list though after pricing used vehicles online we may instead resort to our trusty mountain-bikes. We'll get a paper-route.
We are wrapping up our time here as efficiently and quickly as possible and there are still a few more adventures to be had so stay tuned. We look forward to seeing many of you and are eternally grateful for your prayers and support. This time next week - we'll be somewhere in/over the States!
