There are a quite a few things going on in our world.
Here's a quick top ten-ish sampler:
1- There are no words to express how excited I am to see, pet, hug, love, and be licked by Reyah, our long-lost, precious pup at the end of these 5 weeks - she coincidentally will be turning 5 the week we get back. They grow up too fast.
7.0 - When not with groups, Geoff spends hours on research projects in the library. I joined him one day; tried to impress him with my mad Hebrew language skills as I read over his shoulder, complete with appropriate "hmmms" and "ahhhhs." Then Geoff reminded me that Hebrew is read right to left. Whatever.
8! We already have groups scheduled for 2014...and are so excited we can barely breathe.
Dos: Aside from thoughts of becoming permanent residents in the national parks, we have absolutely no idea what we will be doing, where we will live, or what we will drive after we land in Texas. Knowledge of vacant cabins and other entertaining suggestions welcome.
10: I'm dreaming vividly about my dog, mexican food, baby boy nephews, family, friends, and long-term camping trips. I am looking forward to quality time with all of the above.
VI: We have a gecko infestation. Catch and release one; larger recruits take its place. Fact: This currently bothers Geoff far more than me. Fact next: If one finds its way into our bed, I will totally freak out and become far more bothered than Geoff.
#3 - We're asking for help to cover less than $100 a month of expenses that would allow a young girl raised at the orphanage we worked at in Ecuador, to continue her college education. Please click here for more info. A little goes a long way, and we appreciate your help from the bottom of our hearts.
Twelve? Life is less organized than I prefer. I'm learning this is a gift. One slow, long breath at a time.
5.0 - We have A LOT we still want to fit into our remaining, shockingly short FIVE weeks left here. We are treasuring each day we have here, making the most of this opportunity.
