It crossed my mind rather reluctantly that we could stop and actually enjoy the momentary sunbeams. Instead, I planned to admire it later on a phone screen when it was more convenient.
But what were we late for? Certainly there are always things to be done, but we could find the time.
We turned around.
In many parties only one got out of the car, while their company remained inside waiting. Some quickly took a picture and left. Others seemed to intend that quick mission but found themselves lingering as we did.
Though the stop comprised less than 10 minutes of our day it served to remind me what the day was all about. I'm so thankful that we turned around to enjoy this moment, and for the reminder of what joy there is in taking time to stop.
