We caught brief glimpses of beloved family and friends at the wedding and our hearts ached to be with them. We are so incredibly thankful that we got to be "at" the wedding as much as we were. We had fun dressing up for a wedding we would attend in Texas, from our living room in Israel. We got to hear the jokes, the laughter, and the tiny voices of our niece and nephew during the ceremony, and we have memories that we will always treasure from the experience.
The reception for the reception must not have worked out, because we never got another Facetime connection after the wedding. We finally crashed around 2:30 a.m. We managed to snag 3 hours of sleep before heading into Jerusalem bright and early.
It was a great weekend. We are tired - but it's a wonderful kind of tired. Thankful for family, friends, and the opportunity to embrace so many places and experiences around the world. Can't wait to see what this next week (or even day) holds - we never know!
