October was a blur. We've made it through and only have a few more corners to tuck in before we can begin breathing a little easier...and sleeping without dreaming of working. I'm hoping that comes with the end of tomorrow. For now, here are a few pictures of what our past week-ish has looked like.
Then there was that other little project of putting in an entirely new bathroom. Though behind from unexpected lengths of trips to Amarillo, amidst other conflicting priorities, the bathroom was successfully (FINALLY) finished. Whew!
As you can see from my clothes above there wasn't time wasted even to find a rag. Those old jeans did fine. Every inch of this bathroom got it's share of attention, from wall texture to tile, to cabinet faces and re-purposed vanities.
Before and after pictures are coming soon. Spoiler: we're prouder of the work on this project than any we've ever done - quality wise, and otherwise. It took some serious energy (all those little things add up) but it is FINISHED. Yay!
Then there was that remaining project provided by the recent attack of the R.O.U.S. When it comes to many renovation projects, we've been there, done that. Laying new carpet? Well, we're really more experienced in ripping the stuff out. Though a bit of a learning curve, we figured it out. New carpet in two rooms - check. New knees after using the kicker thing to stretch and install said carpet? Hmmmm....
Here's a brief insight: we're moving to The Farmhouse. Still in Temple, TX, and still temporary, it's another "rentovate" opportunity that we are excited about. I'm especially in love with the trees. More on this and perhaps our more "long-term" plans soon. But for now, looks like it will be our next home-base.
