We've run around and visited a few random sites, some having to do with the land/time period of the Bible and others that were just plain ole fun.
For example, yesterday we stopped by the Stalactite Cave.
This cave was found after a blast in the nearby quarry. It is way cooler than the quarried rock.
Can you imagine being the first to peer into such an incredible wonder world? Too. Cool.
There are lots of stops at this huge site and chalk rock is the theme. Ancient mines called the Bell Caves are where chalk rock was harvested for roads and other construction a loooong time ago. There are over 800 of these ancient mines/caves throughout the area, many connected by intricate underground passageways. We can officially report that these mazes of underground chalk tunnels are incredibly fun to explore.
Our day ended with one of the stranger experiences we've had. Walking by a Dead Sea product outlet in Jerusalem we were offered two free pedicures and foot massages. This wasn't your normal pedi...
We'll be in the air this time tomorrow heading back to the States. To our chocolate lab, family, friends and Mexican food - we can't wait to see you.
