Chicago: Land of the Bible Seminar and Great Friends
As much as Geoff loves bringing people to the land of the Bible, the next best thing is bringing the land of the Bible to people. Samuel kept wanting to participate, so we couldn't stay to to enjoy all of his sessions, but it was great as always to see Geoff in his element, full of passion for this learning and teaching. We so enjoyed our time and fellowship with this group and look forward to the opportunity to take at least some of them to Israel soon.
Caleb Don Hooper - Newest Nephew!
Samuel wasn't the baby of the family for long! Caleb Don joined the clan on January 26th; a strong, healthy little man. We enjoyed our cross-Texas trip to visit him at about 2-weeks old after returning from Chicago. He's growing fast and we love that Samuel has another cousin close to his age in the family!
Belton - RVL Lectures
Abilene - ACU Alumni Day
Samuel's hair is most defintitely getting lighter - but I've never seen it as red as it is in this picture taken by ACU photographer! His Uncle Keith must be rubbing off on him.
And the Grands had all four of their grandkids together for the first time over the weekend!
Amarillo: Work Calls...but friends are near.
Turkey - Missing Daddy
The snow/ice continued the rest of Geoff's time away, which was super fun. I may have gone a bit crazy with cabin fever; my little 15 year old base line car was no more up for the shock of winter than I was. So, while Geoff was jumping into the Aegean Sea, Samuel and I stayed warm inside. Beginning the day after Geoff left, Samuel discovered rolling as a great form of mobility, abandoning previous efforts at crawling. Mobility in babies definitely has its challenges, but for the first time ever Samuel didn't fuss within moments of being left on the floor. There was so much to explore, see, learn, and do as he rolled and rolled around the house. It was WONDERFUL. He does have a tendency to grab at things as he rolls, which means he regularly ends up as one big burrito baby. He's always enjoyed being swaddled!
